Two Fairfield teenagers were issued infractions for creating a public disturbance Tuesday afternoon after a police officer was dispatched to Easton Turnpike where a crowd had gathered for a fight.

A 16-year-old and 17-year-old were involved in the fight, according to witnesses, but eluded police.

The officer later was able to get in contact the 17-year-old at his home. The teen said the "fight was over something stupid" and the younger teen allegedly "thought he was a tough guy," according to the report.

Neither suffered injuries, police said, and both are scheduled to appear Dec. 23 in juvenile court.
