Teen girls charged with stealing clothes at Kohl's

Two teen-age girls from Bridgeport were arrested at Kohl's, 290 Tunxis Hill Road, around 5:30 p.m. Monday after allegedly trying to leave the store with $578 worth of merchandise without paying. They were detained store security personnel.
Store officials said the two 16-year-old girls entered the fitting room with numerous articles of clothing, and when they walked out, none of it was in the dressing room and or in hand. The teens were wearing some of the unpaid merchandise, police said, and some of the clothing was hidden in their bags.
Both girls were charged with fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny. One of the girls was additionally charged with interfering with police for lying about her name and age.
Both teens were released to the custody of a parent and for a Dec. 16 appearance at the Bridgeport Juvenile Court and Detention Center.
