Four teenagers were arrested Monday night after they were seen trying to break into the alternative high school on Biro Street, police said.

Fadde Halabi, 19, and three juveniles were all charged with criminal attempt at second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal trespass.

Halabi was also served with two active warrants issued by Trumbull police.

The incident unfolded around 8:30 p.m. Monday when a neighbor called to report seeing two people on the roof of the school, and two others trying to enter the building through a window. The group ran when officers arrived, but were stopped and detained on Halley Avenue.

Halabi, who lives on Pierce Street, was held on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Jan. 12 in state Superior Court in Bridgeport.

The three juveniles, two 17-year-olds from Fairfield and a 16-year-old from Bridgeport, were released and are scheduled to appear in juvenile court Jan. 14.
