A Bridgeport food pantry will benefit from two mixed-level yoga classes planned Thanksgiving morning at the downtown studio Yoga for Everybody.
Classes are free for participants who contribute $10 worth of nonperishable food items or make a $10 cash or check donation, studio officials said. All proceeds benefit the Black Rock Food Pantry, a registered nonprofit, and checks should be made payable to it.
Classes are offered from 7 to 8:15 a.m. and from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. Yoga for Everyone is at 27 Unquowa Road, next to the Community Theatre.
The studio said the food pantry delivered more than 77,000 meals to the needy last year. Items needed include peanut butter, jelly, condiments, cereal, canned stews and meals, flour and butter.
Reservations for the Thanksgiving classes are not necessary, but recommended.
