Thieves peel off with $5,000 in Banana Republic goods
In two trips to Banana Republic, three men reportedly bagged more than $5,000 of merchandise Thursday morning.
The three thieves entered the Post Road store, stuffed an entire display-table's worth of pants into bags and left the store. The pants were valued at $69 and $49 each.
The men then returned to the store a short time later and stole numerous sweaters and t-shirts, valued at $55 and $49, police said.
The trio was seen on store security cameras stealing the merchandise, police said, but have not yet been apprehended. They may have been involved with a similar theft in January, store personnel told police.
