Thomas A. Ganley Sr.

Thomas A. Ganley Sr., 84, of Southport, the husband of Mary A. (Hughes) Ganley for 57 years, died June 22 in Bridgeport.

Born in Westmeath, Ireland, he immigrated to the United States in 1949 and served during the Korean War. He later worked as a clerk in the Southport Post Office more than 30 years. He was a former president of the Gaelic American Club.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Thomas A. Ganley, Jr. and his wife, Kim, of Huntington; Brian J. Ganley of Bridgeport and Sean Ganley of Huntington; two daughters, Sheila Chrzanowski and her husband, Edmund, of Milford and Maureen Rotman and her husband, Hank, of Guilford; a brother, James Ganley of Southport; a sister, Delia Ganley of Ireland, and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Michael and Joseph, and a sister, Angela Lowry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, in St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
