Two town residents called police Monday morning to report they found their high-end imported cars hoisted onto cinderblocks and all four tires and wheels stripped from both vehicles.

The first incident took place on Parkwood Road where a 2012 BMW, parked in the driveway, had its Pirelli high-performance tires and wheels -- worth a total of $10,000 -- stolen. And the thief, by lifting the car into cinderblocks, caused another $5,000 worth of damage to the car, according to the report.

Police are reviewing the homeowner's security videotape that shows a bald, white man, wearing a tee shirt take all four tires and roll them to a waiting car parked in the street around 2:50 a.m. Monday.

The second tire-theft incident was nearby on Green Acre Lane. Again, all four wheels and tires were stolen from a 2011 Mercedes convertible, police said. The value of the missing tires and wheels is estimated at $6,000.
