Trinity Episcopal Church will host a dinner Saturday night to support an organization that helps immigrants in the state.

Integrated Refugee Immigrant Services, based in New Haven, was in the news recently when it helped a Syrian family, fleeing their homeland’s civil strife, find a home in Connecticut after their initial plan to settle in Indiana was blocked.

The event at Trinity church will start at 7 p.m., and feature remarks by Chris George, the IRIS executive director, about his agency's needs in helping immigrants in the area.
