Police are investigating two burglaries at lower Tunxis Hill Road businesses discovered early Monday by an officer on patrol.
A broken front door window and an audible alarm alerted the officer to a break-in at Bill's Crossroads, 12 Tunxis Hill, just after 3:30 a.m. The owner reported loose change and a bottle of beer missing. A bottle of Bud Lite was found in the rear lot.
While checking nearby businesses, police discovered the front door at Bejing Restaurant, 131 Tunxis Hill Road, was smashed. The register drawer was open. It was unknown if any cash was missing.
