The Cumberland Farms store on Kings Highway East was held up early Monday by two armed men who fled with cash from the registers.

The bandits entered the gas station convenience store shortly after 12:15 a.m. Monday, police said, and both men pointed handguns at two clerks on duty and demanded money from the cash registers.

One of the men is about 6 feet tall and was dressed entirely in black and wore a ski mask, according to the police description. The other, shorter man was wearing a gray sweatshirt and black pants, but did not have a ski mask.

After the clerks turned over money to the robbers, the men fled on foot eastbound on Kings Highway, police said.

Investigators are using surveillance video images from the store for clues about the men’s identities, and asking the public to provide any information they may have about the suspects.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Police Department’s Detective Division at 203 254 4840.
