FAIRFIELD — Police are investigating an early morning break-in on Sept. 22 at the Stratfield Service Center at 1271 Stratfield Road.

Surveillance video shows two men in a white sedan pull up to the station and get out of the car. One was dressed in black, the other in gray clothing, and both were wearing black ski masks and gloves.

The alarm at the service station went off at 2:50 a.m., when the two men broke in. The alarm company, however, apparently did not notify police until eight minutes later. The suspects are seen on video leaving the store at 2:51 a.m. with a garbage bag filled with what police believe was cigarettes, other counter items and an undetermined amount of cash.

Officers found the lock on the door damaged and the cash register on the floor. A garbage bag with an opened carton of cigarettes and several unopened cigarette packs was found on Fairfield Woods Road.
