FAIRFIELD — Mother Nature kept the spigots open for the 81st Dogwood Festival this weekend, but the springtime tradition on Greenfield Hill was “unboughed.”

A rainy Saturday followed a wet Friday, and the outlook for Sunday — Mother’s Day — looked mixed until spring breezes chased away the clouds for a sunny Mother’s Day, a fitting finale for the event that each year raises for charities supported by the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church.

Among the highlights were an array of craft vendors, antiques sales, musical performances art displays, food and plant sales.
