Victor R. Borg, 87, of Southbury, formerly of Fairfield, died Feb. 14. He was the husband of the late Candace (Nickels) Borg.

Born Jan. 23, 1924, in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Victor H. Borg and Ellen (Boyle) Borg. He was a resident of Fairfield and Stamford before moving to Southbury in 1985. He was a 1941 graduate of Bassick High School in Bridgeport and received a B.A. degree from Tufts University and an LLB degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1951. He served in the Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946.

He was president of Brewer-Borg Printing Corp. in Bridgeport from 1961-70 and was associated with the Hemminway Corp. of Waterbury in sales from 1974-90. He was a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, as well as civic and social organizations. He served as a warden at St. Andrews's Church of Stamford and later was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church of Southbury, where he served on the Interfaith Council.

He is survived by his two sons, Stafford Borg of Bethel and Derek Borg of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Victoria Glenister and her husband, Anthony, of Brookfield, and a grandson, Devin Borg.

A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury. The Carpino Funeral Home in Southbury is handling arrangements. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492.
