A 15-year-old Fairfield Warde High School student was suspended for three days after an in-school suspension supervisor told police and school authorities that the teen had threatened to shoot another student's cousin.

According to police, the supervisor was monitoring the two students Tuesday afternoon in a suspension session, and they were discussing text messages about fights and gangs. The 15-year-old allegedly told the other student that he was going to shoot his cousin because he was a member of a rival gang.

The incident remains under investigation, police said, but no criminal charges were filed.
