Notre Dame-Fairfield lost a 56-17 decision to Iona (N.Y.) Prep on Feb. 2. Winners for the Lancers were: Clyde Auba (182 pounds) by decision; Bill Kelly (195) by decision and Hakim Fleming (285) by pin. Ice Hockey

The Fairfield co-op boys team dropped its second straight game, this time losing a 1-0 decision to Greenwich on Feb. 4. Mike Grace was outstanding in goal for the Mustangs, making 38 saves. Fairfield dropped to 9-3-1 on the season.

Fairfield Prep lost a 6-4 decision to Darien on Feb. 3. Devin Blanchette scored two goal and Chris Kral and Jack Cavanaugh also scored for Prep. Assists went to Kral, Cavanaugh, Devin Blanchette, Justin Blanchette, Chris Brown and Jack McGowen. Jack McGee made 21 saves in goal for the Jesuits.

Chris Becker, Tyler Henchcliffe and Mark Russo scored in Notre Dame-Fairfield’s 3-0 win over West Haven on Feb. 3. Assists went to: John Garvey, Brian Gallagher, Mike Antoniou and Matt Carloto. Goaltender Will Scovill made 25 saves for the Lancers.

Limited to just nine players, the Fairfield co-op battled until the final whistle in a 4-1 loss to Wilton on Feb. 6. Grace Flick scored the goal for the Mustangs.

Girls Basketball

Notre Dame-Fairfield lost a close 42-41 decision to Pomperaug on Feb. 2. Brooke McCone and Gabby Joseph each had eight points to lead the Lancers. Dayniera Artis and Taylor Ceballos both added seven points. Notre Dame was just 7 of 16 from the free throw line in the loss. On Tuesday, the Lancers got back on the winning track with a 64-50 win over Bethel. Notre Dame is 12-5 overall, 8-2 in the SWC.

Warde rolled past New Canaan, 65-32 on Feb. 3. Shania Osborne scored 22 points and added five rebounds and two blocks in the win. Iliana Krasniqi scored eight points, had six assists and six rebounds and Daja Polk, Olivia Parisi and Allison Whitlock all scored six points for the Mustangs. On Tuesday, Warde improved to 15-1 overall and 12-0 in the FCIAC with a 52-30 decision over McMahon. Daja Polk had 15 points and 5 assists for the Mustangs. Shania Osborne added 12 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks and Ilania Krasniqi scored 12 points and had 8 rebounds.

Ludlowe defeated Trinity Catholic 45-26 on Feb. 3. Peyton Brown and Julia Pangallo led the Falcons with nine points each while Alex McKinnon scored seven points and Regan Steed and Julia Colica had six each for Ludlowe. On Tuesday, the Falcons captured a 38-36 victory over Norwalk to improve to 12-4 overall and 10-3 in the FCIAC. Alex McKinnon scored 11 points, Regan Steed added 10 -- scoring the game-winner at the buzzer - and Amanda Schram added 9. It was the sixth win in a row for Ludlowe .

Boys Basketball

Notre Dame-Fairfield remained undefeated in SWC play with a 66-50 decision over Popmeraug on Feb. 2. Jesse McIntosh scored 19 points, Nori Davis added 16 and Jordan Pettway 15 for the Lancers, who are 12-2 overall, 7-0 in the SWC. Woodley Monnexant scored eight points. On Tuesday, the Lancers defeated Bethel 61-46 to improve to 13-2 overall, 8-0 in the SWC. Nori Davis had 14 points and 11 rebounds while Geo Cagnazzo added 13 points. Jordan Pettway scored 11 points and had 7 assists and Jesse McIntosh had 10 points.

Warde dropped a close 57-51 decision to Stamford on Feb. 6. Marcel Parsons scored 14 points to lead the Mustangs, who received 11 points from Chris Smaldone. J.J. Conway and Giacomo Brancato each added eight points. On Tuesday, the Mustangs needed overtime to defeat McMahon 66-63 and lift its record to 9-7 overall and 7-5 in the FCIAC. Giacomo Brancato led Warde with 19 points with Marcel Parson scoring 18. Antonio Brancato and Malcolm Burne each scored eight points.

Despite losing Patrick Harding to an ankle injury in the first quarter, Fairfield Prep rolled past Cheshire 81-55 on Tuesday to improve to 15-1 overall. John Kelly scored 16 points to lead the Jesuits while Rich Kelly had 12, Bobby Haskins 11, Matt Gerics 10 and Harding 9. Prep hit 10 3-pointers in the victory.

Ludlowe got past Norwalk 66-56 on Tuesday to improve to 9-5 overall and 6-4 in the FCIAC. Mason Rush scored 14 points to pace the Falcons, who also received 10 points from Greg Lawrence and nine points each from Cole Prowitt-Smith and Hayes Kelchner.

Boys Swimming

Fairfield Prep improved to 5-1 on the season after a 94-76 victory over Xavier on Feb. 2. Winners for the Jesuits were: Liam Colleran, Andrew Lydon, Guido Balderrama, Martin Duffy in the 200 medley relay (1:44.33); Ben Fox in the 200 freestyle (1:53.68); Balderrama in the 200 IM (2:07.18);Andres Narvaez in diving (176.85 points); Balderrama in the 100 butterfly (52.61); Stanislav Yarmoussik in the 100 freestyle (51.31) and Andrew Magel in the 500 freestyle (5:16.81).

Varsity Girls squash

The Dragons lost a 7-0 decision to Rye Country Day School. Fairfield’s Ingrid Backe played a very competitive match but dropped a 5-11, 0-11, 2-11 decision.

Varsity wrestling

In its final dual meet of the season, the Dragons went against the Canterbury School. Fairfield’s Sam Stuart won a major decision at 113 pounds.

Varsity fencing

The GFA girls fencing competed against Greenwich Academy and lost 17-10.

GFA women's foil lost against Greenwich with a final score of 4-5. Senior Kate Allan (Fairfield) tied her bouts 1-1 and won one match by default. The saber team lost 3-6 against Greenwich Academy team. Sophomore Caroline Telesz of Fairfield lost 0-3.
