FAIRFIELD — Sonia Bombart, 56, was arrested on a warrant Monday, charged in connection with a one-car accident July 2.

According to police, Bombart was eastbound on Cross Highway around 10:30 p.m. when she went through a stop sign and drove off the road. She hit a stone wall, and her car flipped upside down, landing on the windshield before coming to rest back in the road.

Bombart, who lives on Bernhard Drive in Weston, was taken to a local hospital following the accident.

She was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane. Bombart was released after posting a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport Aug. 22.
