William "Billy" P. Bagwell, of Fairfield, the husband of Honorine Dujany Bagwell, died June 8 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport.

Born in New York City, he was the son of the late William and Catherine Bagwell, and had been a Fairfield resident for more than 20 years.

He was a graduate of the City College of New York and a member of the National Society of Pershing Rifles. He was also a lector at the Holy Family Church. He had a career in sales, and worked for companies such as Pitney Bowes, C.P. Bourg, A.B. Dick and Compugraphics. He was also the owner of Convenient Graphics.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his children, Nicole Bagwell and her fiance, Christopher Forrester, of Wilmington, N.C., Christina Bagwell of Fairfield and William Andrew Bagwell, serving in the U.S. Navy in Pensacola, Fla; his sisters, Lorraine and Joan Bagwell of Sunnyside, N.Y.; his mother-in-law, Mary "Nene" Rhoad Dujany of Bridgeport; a sister-in-law, Nannette Dujany Fatigate of Fairfield; nieces, Cathy Hirsch, Kelly-Anne Kellaher and Collette Fatigate, and nephews, Jonathan, Richie and Henri Fatigate and Jimmie Kellaher; and future grandson, Christopher William Forrester.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Holy Family Church. Burial will be private.
