William G. Kaelin, 82, of Quechee, Vt., a former resident of Fairfield, died Aug. 28.

He was the son of the late William C. and Kathryn (Graf) Kaelin.

He graduated from Duke University and the Duke University School of Law and was an international tax lawyer.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, William Jr. and Carolyn Kaelin of Boston, Mass.; Michael and Carol Kaelin of Wilton; Thomas and Linda Kaelin of Woodbury; Margaret and Glen Holland of Hingham, Mass., and Robert and Linda Kaelin of Glastonbury; a sister, Ann Moran of Sound Beach, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren, and cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur and Robert Kaelin, and his former wife, Nancy Kaelin, the mother of his five children.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, in St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
