FAIRFIELD — With the weather warming, the Citizen asked Fairfield University students: What’s your favorite thing about springtime on the university’s campus?

“My favorite thing is definitely the weather — I’d have to say — spending time outside, getting to do homework and stuff.” - Jack Battle, 18, freshman from New Jersey

“Walking and being able to see the flowers blooming. It’s a lot prettier I think than seeing snow and makes me happier.” - Vanessa Ciampa, 19, sophomore from Massachusetts

“I think we just have a beautiful campus in general, but springtime...everything starts turning green and sunny. Everything looks so pretty everywhere you look.” - Bethany Houle, 20, sophomore from Massachusetts

“They’re really big about landscaping. It always looks really nice — that’s how they get you, the landscaping. The really pretty trees...over by the freshman dorms.” - Alyssa Cameron, 21, junior from Massachusetts

“They have all the lacrosse games and stuff during the spring.” - Jamie O’Brien, 20, junior from Chicago
