Diana Sedito, 60, of Edgehill Road, was charged on a warrant Monday with driving under the influence, disobeying a traffic signal and evading responsibility.

The charges stem from an Oct. 29 hit-and-run accident on the Post Road near Unquowa Road, police said. Minutes after striking a car, Sedito was found by police who said she was walking, swaying back and forth. She was brought back to the scene and identified as the operator of the abandoned vehicle, police said. She had bloodshot eyes, according to police records, and told officers she was returning from her daughter's home, where she had one drink of wine. Sedito was transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport after failing her field sobriety testing.

Bond was set at $2,500 and she is scheduled to appear Dec. 13 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
