After a neighbor called police around 11 p.m. Wednesday to report a car driving in and out of driveways and onto lawns along Pequot Avenue, officers dispatched to the scene found Deirdre Kiniry, 56, standing in her driveway alongside her parked car. The driver-side door was open and the car's alarm was sounding, according to the report.

According to the report, Kiniry appeared confused about why the alarm was activated, and had an odor of alcohol on her breath. She allegedly admitted to having four vodka drinks, and police said she failed field sobriety tests.

Kiniry was charged with driving under the influence and released on a $100 bond. She is scheduled to appear Feb. 21 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
