Woman charged with DUI in beach parking lot
Doreen Tedesco, 51, of Fairchild Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive right after an accident Saturday night in the Jennings Beach parking lot.
Tedesco ran over one of the utility poles used as a curb in the parking lot, and struck a "no parking" sign. The car became stuck on top of the pole.
There was an odor of alcohol on her breath and Tedesco allegedly admitted to drinking, police said, but refused to perform any field sobriety tests or submit to a breath analysis.
She was released on a $100 bond and is scheduled to appear May 16 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
