Woman charged with stealing, pawning golf clubs
A woman is charged with pawning golf clubs and other possessions stolen from Fairfield homes earlier this month.
Viviana Nieves, of Sixth Street, Bridgeport, was charged on a warrant with third-degree larceny Thursday.
Nieves took two sets of golf clubs from an unlocked garage on Round Hill Road on April 11; a set of golf clubs from the driveway of a Matilda Place home on April 8, and a guitar amplifier and electronics from an unlocked Cranston Street garage on April 18, police said.
During the investigation, police checked several area pawn shops, including one in Milford, where they recovered evidence that led to the charges filed against Nieves.
