Woman faces DUI, drug charges after striking parked car
A motorist was charged with driving under the influence and drug offenses last Thursday evening after she allegedly struck a parked car on Figlar Avenue, drove away and then drove back when officers were on the scene investigating the incident.
Mary D. Vazzano, 36, of Kenwood Avenue, in addition to driving under the influence, was charged with evading responsibility, failure to drive right, possession of narcotics and illegal possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school.
Vazzano failed field sobriety tests and had oxycontin pills in her possession, police said.
Bond was set at $500 bond and she was scheduled to appear Jan. 8 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
