Zoltan Kakas, 74, of Fairfield, died July 3.
Born and educated in Hungary, he came to the United States during the Hungarian Revolution in 1956. He had worked at Sikorsky Aircraft, retiring in 1999.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Eliz; a daughter, Krisztina Rocco; a son-in-law, Andrew; grandsons, Tyler and Lorenzo; his sisters and brother, Olga Voros and her husband, Louis, Maria Prenoszil, Judit Farkas and Laszlo Fenyvesi and his wife, Margaret; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. Aug. 6 in Fairfield Grace Methodist Church. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation, Dr. Richard W. Kmetzo Cancer Resource Center, 267 Grant St., Bridgeport, CT 06610; to Fairfield Grace Methodist Church, 1089 Fairfield Woods Road, Fairfield, CT 06825, or to a charity of choice.
