Open spaces guide

Any visitor to Fairfield's open spaces will find the Conservation Commission's "Walking Through Fairfield's Open Spaces" an indispensible reference.

The guide provides a historical and ecological introduction to major open spaces, plus practical information and rules. Best of all, it contains the location of each open space and handy, removable trail maps.

Trail maps are especially useful in the bigger areas, and the guide explains how to read the trail markings.

The guide is available at Independence Hall, the Fairfield Recreation Center, the Audubon Society and Fairfield Stationers.
