How can I be happy when unemployment is high, we are at war and are in a recession?
There's so much uncertainty.
What if you found a way to minimize your unhappy? Sound unimaginable?
You don't have to believe it; you can experience it and have the direct knowledge for yourself.
Happiness is up to you; however, you do have to know how to become happy. Happiness requires knowledge of the way you think and feel, which produces your negative and positive behaviors. Make the "Happiness Decision!"
Happiness is an inner-state of well-being which enables you to benefit from your highest thoughts, wisdom, intelligence, common sense, emotions, health and spiritual values. The "Happiness Decision" allows you to control your thinking by not allow your thinking to control you. Happiness is not about what happens to you; it's your ability to use happiness as a strategy, allowing the very best to happen.
When you think about negative things, you make yourself unhappy. Start focusing on "being happy" and you will start feeling great! Perhaps you have had a lifetime of negative thought patterns. If you continue those negative patterns those thoughts will keep you unhappy. I know what you're thinking ... I can't do it. I can't be happy. See, there you go again, just letting your thinking run your life. That's how it works!
Start acting like you are happy. Forget about what is happening around you. If you can't change it for the moment, put your energy into what you can control. Start thinking about things you are grateful for. Gratitude is the No. 1 way to become happy. You cannot be unhappy if you are grateful. Starting right now, look for things to be grateful for. Be grateful for all the small things. Keep focusing on those things. Your mind, therefore, will not be thinking about all the things that normally bother you.
You are choosing to be unhappy because you want something to be different. There is no reason good enough to make you unhappy. A better choice is to remain happy, then deal with the people, problems and situations in your life that cause you stress. That way you will learn to make the best choices and find the best solutions for the things you want to change.
It can be difficult to change things, and even more difficult to change people. Why not focus your energy where you can make all the difference in the world. Change yourself by controlling yourself, not the situation nor the people in your life. Being happy is exactly that kind of self-control!
Do you know why it is easy to do? No? The reason is, everyone wants to be happy. You can do it! Don't let your thinking tell you that you can't.
Happiness is controlling yourself, so you can enjoy your life. Don't wait for things around you to change -- you have to change. Happiness is the change you have been looking for. Life is short, now is a good time to be happy. Start acting as if you are happy and notice how you feel. Be smart, stay happy and learn to deal with people and problems better than you ever have before. Remember, whatever you can't change, leave alone, or it will change you for the worse.
Being happy connects you to the inner wisdom and common sense you already possess. Happiness creates the wisdom for you to stay well and choose a happy life! Happiness is the greatest weapon in the war against fear. Be happy ... it will change the world.
