BRIDGEPORT — An individual suffered a non-life-threatening injury during an attempted robbery early Tuesday morning, officials said.

Scott Appleby, the city’s director of emergency communications and emergency management, said a male suspect “attempted to rob a victim” in the area of Central Avenue near Bridgeport Hospital around 2:30 a.m.

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening “injury by knife to hand,” Appleby said.

He said officers canvassed the area to search for the suspect from the attempted robbery but didn’t find him.
