BRIDGEPORT — All those injured in two separate crashes in the city Wednesday — one involving a quad, the other a motorcycle — were taken to city hospitals for their injuries, officials said.

First, a crash involving a motorcycle sent first responders to the area of Boston and North avenues around 3:30 p.m.

Police said initially that the crash involved a vehicle and a motorcycle, but Scott Appleby, the city’s director of emergency communications and emergency management, later clarified it was a quad.

Drivers headed through the area were urged to pursue other routes.

A few hours later, around 6 p.m., first responders for the city headed to the area of Barnum Avenue and Willow Street for a reported crash. Arriving units found a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle, Appleby confirmed later.
