STAMFORD — A New York resident has been accused of cutting another man and woman with a box cutter during a fight on Bedford Street.

Capt. Diedrich Hohn said officers responded to the area near Brother Jimmy’s BBQ around 2:15 a.m. Sunday for a report of a woman who had been slashed. Hohn said the woman was slashed in the hand and a man was also found assaulted.

Hohn said officers found a man matching the suspect’s description. Hohn said Brendan Livingston, 27, of Port Chester, N.Y., was identified by the male victim as the suspect and he was found in possession of a box cutter.

Hohn said the dispute appeared to stem from Livingston leaning on the male victim’s car, sparking a drunken fight.

The woman was taken to Stamford Hospital for treatment. Livingston was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of peace. He was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
