FAIRFIELD — The tan-colored Colonial with white trim at 287 South Benson Road was built in 1919, although it does not show its age. In 2006, the house was renovated, giving it an open floor plan, an updated eat-in kitchen, steam shower in the master bedroom suite, and other amenities typical of today’s lifestyle.

It probably wouldn’t be considered a beach house but it is in Fairfield’s beach neighborhood and it is located in a place that allows easy access to the town’s local beaches. The cabinetry includes built-in bookshelves around the desk area, some glass-front cabinets and drawers. There is also a pantry and access to the mudroom.
