On the market: Darien home with hand-painted map on the floor for $6M

Waterfront homes in Connecticut are selling quickly, and only 4 percent of local homes listed on Zillow specified a waterfront location as of June 9. The home on 123 Long Neck Point Road in Darien is not only located on the water, it also pays homage to the coast in its flooring.

Listed for $6 million, it has its own private tidal water dock and deep water mooring in Ziegler’s Cove, sitting on east side of the Long Neck Point peninsula, according to the listing

The home overlooks a protected harbor and Long Island Sound and  brings the outdoors in. According to the listing, the “current owners' love for sailing and Long Island Sound are woven throughout in subtle custom murals and a unique map painted on the sunroom floor.”
