Big East women's tournament limited to program guests for fans

A limited number of tickets will be provided to each member school for the upcoming Big East women’s basketball tournament, the conference announced Monday. The tickets will be specifically designated for use by the members of each school’s official travel party in order to permit families and guests of student-athletes, coaches and team staffs to attend games.

There will be no public sale of tickets to this year’s tournament.

The tournament will be held Friday-Monday at Mohegan Sun Arena.

“While we were looking forward to a great turnout for UConn’s first year back at the Big East Tournament, circumstances will not allow for that this year,” said Big East Commissioner Val Ackerman in a release. “With the consent of the Mohegan Tribal Health Department and working with Mohegan Sun Arena personnel, we’re excited to be able to allow a limited number of family members and guests of our participants to attend this year’s event, while still maintaining the protocols required to conduct a safe competition. We look forward to a packed arena for this signature event in the years to come.”
