Bethlehem, Pa. -- Kiley Evans scored a career-high 29 points as the Sacred Heart women defeated Lehigh 73-63 on Thursday night.

Ericka Norman, a sophomore, also had a career-high 14 assists as the Pioneers improved to 7-4. Morgan Merriman added 17 points for SHU.

In the second half, Merriman kicked off a six-point run, increasing SHU's lead to 49-42 with just under 12 minutes to play. In a game of swings, however, with 10:03 left, Lehigh's Kelly Peterson hit a 3-pointer to give the Mountain Hawks their first lead of the half, 52-51.

Enjoli Bland, who led the Pioneers with eight rebounds, capped another six-point run with a layup, giving Sacred Heart a nine-point lead with three minutes left to play.

The Pioneers next play on Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. against Siena at the Pitt Center.
