Fairfield announced that men’s basketball forward Vincent Eze was granted a waiver to receive a sixth season of eligibility.

Eze joined the Fairfield University men’s basketball program after graduating from the University of Maine. He was a redshirt student-athlete for the 2015-16 season before making his college debut for the 2016-17 campaign. He missed the 2017-18 season due to injury but returned for the 2018-19 season at Maine.

Eze was 10th among MAAC players with an average of 5.8 rebounds per game and was fifth with an average of 2.13 offensive rebounds per game. Eze started 30 games during the 2019-20 season, he was fourth on the Stags with an average of 7.8 points per game, he led the team with 68 offensive rebounds and a 49.5 field-goal percentage. Eze scored in double figures in 10 games and finished with 10 points and 13 rebounds in a nationally televised game against Texas A&M.
