FAIRFIELD — Samantha Cooper scored a career-high 24 points to lead Fairfield UMass Lowell in a non-league game Wednesday at Alumni Hall.

Fairfield (2-5) used a 12-2 run to take the lead for good at 52-50 with 2:48 remaining in the third quarter.

Sam Kramer added 19 points and seven assists and Casey Foley chipped in 11 points and five assists for the Stags.

Kayla Gibbs recorded her fourth consecutive double-double with a game-high 25 points and 13 rebounds for UMass-Lowell (2-5).
