NEW HAVEN -- Bryce Keblish won two events to lead Fairfield Prep to the team title at the SCC boys swimming championships Friday at Southern Connecticut.

Keblish won the 200 freestyle (1:41.25) and the 100 backstroke (54.17) for the Jesuits, who finished with 1083 points. He also swam on Fairfield Prep's second place 400 freestyle and third place 200 medley relay teams.

Cheshire was runner-up with 903 points, followed by ND-West Haven (770 points), Xavier (622) and Amity (538) to round out the top five teams. Other regional teams in the meet were Shelton (10th, 341 points), Foran (12th, 311.5) and Law (17th, 107).

David May won two individual events and swam on two first place relays for the Green Knights. He was first in the 200 IM (1:57.58) and in the 100 backstroke (1:00.81) and swam on Notre Dame's winning 200 medley (1:41.21) and 200 freestyle (1:31.55) relays.

Six regional swimmers each turned in two top six finishes: Amity's Benjamin Clemens (second, 100 breaststroke, 1:02.22 and sixth, 100 freestyle, 51.25) and Colin Roy (fourth, 100 freestyle, 50.99 and fifth, 100 backstroke, 57.59), Fairfield Prep's Guido Balderrama (fifth, 100 butterfly, 55.71 and sixth, 100 backstroke, 58.53) and Oliver Rus (fifth, 50 freestyle, 23.31 and sixth, 100 breaststroke 1:05.53) and ND-West Haven's Edmund Falcigno (second, 50 freestyle, 23.02 and third, 100 backstroke, 56.82) and Alfred Hansen (third, 500 freestyle, 4:56.40 and fourth, 200 freestyle, 1:49.04.

For the Gaels, Hunter Wronski placed third in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.55) and Reid Chavez was sixth in the 100 butterfly (56.70).
