FAIRFIELD -- Senior Matthew Brown scored two goals, including the game-winner with 9:12 left in regulation as Westhill held off Fairfield Warde 9-8 on Thursday night at Tetreau/Davis Field.

Senior midfielder Steven Lee scored two goals, as well, and Lukas Znosko had a goal and an assist as the Vikings won their second straight, one-goal game.

Warde senior Cooper Wicke scored three goals and Matt Petroccio added two as the Mustangs fell to 7-7.

Westhill scored five straight goals between the second and third quarters, turning a 4-2 deficit into a 7-4 advantage. Brown's goal with 9:12 left put Westhill up 9-5.

But the Mustangs came roaring back, scoring the game's final three goals, two of which came from Wicke. Westhill's defense stymied Warde from scoring in the last three minutes, sealing its fifth win.
