Christian Ghiorzi spearheaded Ludlowe's ground-game as the Falcons won their second straight, 34-8, over Danbury on Friday night at Taft Field.

Ghiorzi, the sophomore fullback, rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown and Ludlowe junior quarterback Matt White rushed for three scores as Ludlowe improved to 3-5. Ludlowe ran for 292 yards.

"We can run the ball," Falcons coach Matt McCloskey said Tuesday. "We're getting a good push up front and running with the backs."

After the Hatters built an 8-7 lead after one quarter, the Falcons sprung for two scores in 2:30. Ghiorzi's one-yard plunge gave the Falcons a 14-8 lead. White's two-yard run just 30 seconds before halftime lifted that advantage to 20-8.

White also added a fourth-quarter touchdown pass-- a 27-yard toss to receiver Dan Santella.

The Falcons will look for their third-straight win when they host Norwalk on Thursday at 7 p.m.;
